A: All your data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
A: Yes. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync via iCloud. We don't collect any personal information or usage analytics.
A: Yes. Go to Settings and enable Face ID lock to require authentication when opening the app.
A: Enable iCloud sync in Settings. Your data will automatically sync across all devices signed into the same iCloud account.
A: Go to Settings → Export Data. You can export in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format.
A: All local data is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you have iCloud sync enabled, your data remains in iCloud and will restore when you reinstall.
A: The Watch app installs automatically when you install Dot Journal on your paired iPhone. Open the Watch app on your iPhone to verify it's installed.
A: Yes. The Watch app works offline and syncs with your iPhone when connected.
A: Ensure your Watch is paired and connected to your iPhone. Open Dot Journal on your iPhone to trigger a sync.
A: Streaks count consecutive days you complete a habit. Missing a day resets the streak to zero.
A: Yes. When creating a habit, you can set custom frequency options.
A: Try closing and reopening the app. If issues persist, restart your device.
A: If you have iCloud sync enabled, check your internet connection and wait for sync to complete. If data is still missing, contact support.
